The fabulous adventures of the ninja kid Naruto Uzumaki has been portrayed in the 220 Naruto episodes of the animation series titled Naruto.

The popular series which was first shown on Television Tokyo is an on screen adaptation of the Masashi Kishimoto’s 1997 series which came on the Japanese indigenous comics called manga. Studio Pierrot produced the series which was actually created by Masashi Kishimoto and immortalized in the Japanese comic called manga in 1997.

The series was broadcasted on TV Tokyo from October 3, 2002 to February 8, 2007 and was first made in the Japanese language which was later translated into English for telecast in cartoon network’s toonami division. With the series soon climbing the popularity charts cartoon network brought the series to its main channel to cater to its vast fan following.

Naruto Uzumaki hails from the village Konohagakure. The village witnesses all the jaw dropping adventures of this kid. Naruto dreams of becoming a Hokage that’ll put him in a position in parity with the rulers. The different characters in the Naruto episodes blend in beautifully with the story’s theme and have become very popular too particularly Naruto’s friends Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno.

Bionix and another channel Jetix UK also aired the Naruto episodes. Masashi Kishimoto’s comic series manga comprised 27 volumes which were later made into 220 episodes. Despite having around 220 episodes only 209 episodes were telecast with the final one shown in January 2009. There are rumors that Viz will resume the telecast but these rumors are still to be confirmed.

It was obvious that the producers would not let die the cartoon icon which had created waves by then and so they’ve brought out DVDs with the Naruto episodes. They have taken great care to make sure that the DVD’s include the episodes with minimum cuts so that viewers are not disappointed. You can also get the season wise episodes of the series in a single DVD. Further around 135 Naruto episodes have been compressed into a single disc titled ‘Naruto The Best Scene’. You can also catch repeat shows of these famous series in the popular on the internet video sites like Youtube, myspace. The Ninja kid’s adventures have also been made into a movie following its mass appeal.
