When he does portraits, there’s a man whose range includes not only parakeets but alligators and a champion black angus as well and this isn’t only becoming a thriving but also a highly specialized art business. He’s so talented that he can paint a pet flea so long as there’s a fine quality picture of it. His body of work as of this time consists only of cats, rabbits, horses, birds, dogs, and one alligator.
As a growing boy, he found joy in arts and animals. When one has a wife and a child to support it isn’t as simple to make a decent living off of selling fine paintings as all artists are familiar with. He launched his most current collection at the cow palace. What happened next was that he was showered with request to do portraits of a pet parakeet whose owner raised it from an egg, a champion rabbit, as well as fine show horses. What a famous television actor singer and recording artist wanted him to do was to make a portrait of his horse. Making a portrait of a winning black angus also became one of his tasks. One huge university in Santa Clara has a new director of the gallery and museum and she was the former director of a massive museum in San Jose and she took on the job about a month ago after a reverend died early last month. It is at a gallery in San Francisco where a local sculptor will be exhibiting his work. Thirty of his works are being shown in a range from neo classical to highly abstracted forms. An extended exhibit with more than 200 objects, sculptures, paintings, prints, and books coming from a private collection will be held in a famous museum.
Spanning 50 years is the collection of a couple from Pennsylvania. The works of a dozen renowned painters plus scores of other historic greats comprise it.The husband began collecting books when he was still a student of Harvard and he was able to add to his collection many of the more valuable objects that he acquired on installment.
