I think it is interesting to see how each generation has it’s own special toys that can define it. My brother had two obsessions when he was a boy. He loved the He-Man series and he loved his Transformers toys. He had a lot of both of them, and he played with them all the time. But playing by himself was hard, so I tried to play with him. I wasn’t a big fan of either one, so I suspect that he didn’t have much fun with me. I didn’t know a lot about the toys so I really didn’t know what I was doing. He loved them though, and he would spend hours by himself with them on a rainy day.

I remember one Christmas when I was about 4 and my brother was 3. We both got up that morning and went into the living room. There, against a usually bare wall, were 2 large, large presents! We were so excited! Santa had “been”. “Santa’s been! Santa’s been!” we were yelling in uncontained excitement! Of course we tore off the packaging and the screams and squeals of joy were uncontrollable!
The most fabulous presents ever!
In mine was a beautiful pink pram for my baby doll and my brother got a shiny new Pedal Car! We couldn’t believe our eyes, and we were so happy!
