With everything we have seen on the news and world reports about the recession/depression that the world is entering into we are all looking for ways to save money. Amazingly Wii Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit continues to fly off the shelves. Personally we took the time and looked at the math and it was a no brainer. We went ahead and got the whole kit. Yes the whole kit, 2 guitars so we have one for lead/rhythm and bass, drums, and a microphone.
So the first question I know I will be asked is, how can something that costs so much save you money? Well in my our case the answer is in the math, there is only so many times you can read a book or watch the Knight Rider re-runs. Don’t get me wrong, I love Kitt, but am much happier with our decision to get the Wii and Wii Guitar Hero World Tour so we have something to do.
The biggest issue we ran into was finding the game in stock. Due to it being out of stock so much, we had lots of time to do price comparisons for Target, WalMart, GameStop, EB Games, etc. We finally realized it was much easier to look online and find something that way on EBay or Amazon (even online it is hard to find it in stock at Wal-Mart or Target). Online allows you to compare for the best price and quite often they offer free shipping and have instant availability.
I bought our Wii on Ebay for about $300 and then the Rock Band World Tour Kit was about $190. So lets say $500 total, but we play this instead of going out. Lets compare this to the cost of going out now. The cost of going out has just gotten fully out of control to me. My husband and I were going to do a cheap weekend deal to celebrate our annavsery and decided that the Guitar Hero World Tour would be a much better option. We looked at the cost of a baby sitter for the night was $10 per hr. When I was babysitting it was $2 per hr for the kids next door where if something happened my parents were the ones really watching all of us. So we are already at over $100 for the babysitter, plus hotel Motel 8 is $65 at least now, dinner would be $80+tip for a mediocre dinner, and if we went to a bar it would be $20 just to get in the door plus drinks. So lets say conservatively 3 drinks each we are at $50 for a club. Total cost for a romantic weekend is $315 if we didn’t tip anyone! So for the cost of 1 romantic weekend out, we got the Wii. In today’s economy anyway we can save money it is AWESOME!
The Wii console has literally transformed the way people view video games. The wireless controls and networking capabilities changed the dynamics of the video game world forever. Guitar Hero World Tour is no different. It allows you to play solo (any instrument or singing lyrics) or multiplayer with those in your living room or anywhere on Earth. Form your band and play over 80 songs by the original artists or sing with a group with karaoke in your living room.
Video gaming is no longer just sitting and pressing buttons, welcome to the world of guitars, drums, lyrics, and vocals! Stand up, throw your guitar strap over your shoulder like you are strumming a Fender, and strike a chord! Friends or family can join in on percussion, be careful it gets tricky! In our house when we have had a little too much to drink we try our hand at singing the lyrics, watch your pitch! Are you good enough to cut a demo?
You can play 86 songs ranging from the 1960’s to modern day, with the ability to download over 80 more. Just some of the songs are from Fleetwood Mac, Ozzy Osbourne, Lenny Kravitz and Nirvana. While Nirvana is best known for Kurt Cobain’s death after the use of Heroin the reason he is remembered is because of how phenomenal he was as a singer and musician.
The Nintendo Wii has developed something in Guitar Hero World Tour Band that doesn’t come along often. Their entire wireless control system and motion detection that Wii originally developed, opened a whole new world in the gamming community. They made quite a few adjustments when they put out the Wii Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit from the Wii Rock Band Kits and games. From the use and gathering of star power, to the original tracks they were able to get.
