Christmas is a holiday celebrated around the world on December 25th; it celebrates the birth of Jesus, although the date does not fall on his actual birthday. Various religious traditions were incorporated into it. For many, the holiday is purely secular. Christmas has many different variations in terms of how people refer to it. Some terms refer to the fact that Jesus was born in a barn. Various gospels reference the nativity story. Christmas is celebrated as heavily upon its Eve as it is on the day itself. Interestingly, Santa Claus was essentially created by the media.
